The decision to see a psychologist is not always an easy one. You may be feeling anxious, distressed, overwhelmed, disappointed or angry at your present situation; you may just need someone to sit with you as you reflect on painful circumstances or difficult times.
The focus at Imago Psychology is to ensure that you are heard; carefully listened to, supported and helped to gain new and different ways to deal with your situation. You, the client, are the central focus as we work together to discover and address your issues and your goals.
At Imago Psychology approaches are tailored to your needs as the intervention process works to lessen feelings of isolation, empower you to build helpful relationships and collaborate with you to develop a positive sense of the future, where hope can be realised.

MY PLEDGE
Rhonda Murrey is the principal of Imago Psychology and she pledges to be with you through this change process, offering warmth, commitment, understanding, authenticity, humour and a willingness to acknowledge and revise strategies that may not have affected anticipated change.
REFERRAL PROCESS
Referrals can be made via your GP under the Medicare program, where up to ten consultations are provided under that scheme in a calendar year. During the present COVID-19 pandemic, Medicare offers a further 10 sessions, as approved by your GP.
Employee Assistance Program (EAR) and WorkCover clients are also welcome.
People can make private appointments for consultations, by texting, calling or emailing the contacts provided. Many people choose to do this who are able to make claims back through their private health provider. Payment is made via credit card and you are reimbursed by Medicare for most of the fee. There is a gap payment, in accordance with standard practice. If you have any difficulty with the costs of services offered, please speak to us about this.
Each consultation lasts for 50 minutes and is offered face-to-face, online - via Telehealth or by phone.
